Day 01: Arrival
Personally met on arrival off International flight and transferred to Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge, under Mt. Meru. Overnight Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge. (Bed and breakfast)
Day 02: Tarangire National Park
Safari to Tamarind Camp set in acacia woodland and grassland on the northern boundary of Tarangire National Park, for lunch. In the afternoon enter Tarangire National Park, characterised by giant baobab trees and famous for its elephants, plains game and predators, but also boasting a large variety of bird life including endemic species. Day 03: Tarangire National Park
Full day game drives with picnic lunch, ranging far and wide. The elephants have a fascinating way of communicating with subtle interactions, which your Guide will be able to point out and share with you. In the late afternoon you head back to camp and set out for a bush walk with local Maasai guides. Overnight Tamarind Camp. (Full board) alternative Tarangire River Camp
Day 04: Ngorongoro Crater
In the morning you will drive through plains and rolling hills until you reach the Rift Valley escarpment. You will ascend the escarpment and continue climbing into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area passing through verdant rainforest. In the late morning you will arrive on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and then descend 2000 feet onto the crater floor for game drives with a picnic lunch. 16kms across the Ngorongoro Crater is the home to a large population of resident game and contains the largest concentration of predators in Africa. In the late afternoon you will return to the crater to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight. (Full board)
Day 05: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast leave for a full day in the crater following and photographing the animals. At lunchtime relax with a picnic by the hippo pools. Return back to Ngorongoro Serena Lodge for dinner and overnight (Full board)
Day 06 – 08: Serengeti National Park
Head around the intriguing alter crater of Ngorongoro onto the Serengeti plains. The view from the top of Ngorongoro is magnificent. First stop is at Olduvai Gorge to enjoy a picnic lunch and brief tour where so many precious finds of early man were discovered. In the afternoon, continue game viewing in the Serengeti. Undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world, the Serengeti is home to the highest density of game in Africa as well as being unequaled for its natural beauty and scientific value. Daily game-drives exploring the wide-open spaces of the Serengeti, visiting different habitats and following the ebb and flow of life in its seasonal movements. Three nights in a luxury Serengeti Sopa Lodge.
Day 09: Serengeti/Arusha/Dar Es Salaam
Transferred to Seronera airstrip with picnic lunches for 10h45 scheduled Regional Air flight to Arusha to connect with 12h15 Coastal Air flight to Dar Es Salaam arriving 14h20 to connect with an evening flight home or continue onto Zanzibar or Mafia Island.
