Getting Married
Many couples now choose to marry in an exotic destination and we believe that few are more romantic than Mauritius or The Seychelles. Imagine yourselves in any one of many idyllic locations for that special moment, under a palm by a beautiful beach, the soft warm breeze soughing through the leaves. Or in a spectacular tropical garden where the colours are so vivid as to be almost unreal. We know the very special needs of wedding parties and honeymooners so you can be certain that those once-in-a-lifetime experiences will be as near perfect as we can make it.
Getting married in Mauritius
Essential information
If you wish to marry in Mauritius, you will need to have been in the country three days prior to your wedding day. To avoid disappointment, it is recommended that you book your wedding at least three months in advance to ensure that you marry on your chosen date and to allow time to arrange any special requirements or additions.
You can choose the destination of your wedding, which can be held either in the hotel, on the golden sandy beach, in the luscious green gardens or even on a yacht! The chosen location is usually decorated with palm leaves and beautiful tropical flowers. Whichever the chosen location, you can be sure the surroundings will be the perfect setting for your special day.
It could not be easier to get married in Mauritius. All you will need are photocopies of the following documents, in advance, for both the bride and groom: birth certificates, divorce papers if applicable (decree absolute) and (if widowed) previous marriage certificate and death certificate, valid passport and legal proof if your name has been changed by deed poll. You must then take all original documents for your wedding.
